FOREWORD

 

The purpose of the Faculty Handbook is to outline responsibilities, identify proper procedures, describe current policies governing the Faculty and provide essential information helpful in the fulfillment of its role. Current and recent college catalogs, as well as current editions of the Personnel Policy Manual, and the Student Handbook, are useful and sometimes necessary supplements to this Faculty Handbook. 

 

Certain documents referred to herein, and included as appendices, for example the Faculty Constitution and Bylaws, are understood as primary, and, together with the Faculty Handbook, define the Faculty's role. 

 

The Faculty Handbook is frequently revised. Chair of the Faculty, the Faculty Council, in consultation with the Academic Dean and such other members of the Faculty as may be appointed, if any, are responsible for such revision.
