Group Activity:
Evaluating Internet Sources
Return to English 304 homepage

As stated in Chapter 10, there are important issues to consider when choosing research sources to utilize. Using the guidelines set forth in that chapter, take a look at your group's assigned Internet site and consider the following issues:
Is the source honest and reliable?
Is the source biased? | |
What is the purpose of the website?
Is the author (or sponsoring organization) of the site credible?
Where does the source get its information?
Can you verify the material independently?
Is the material current?
Is the material complete?
Would you use this source for a formal research project? Why or why not? |
