Course Orientation
This online course will be delivered through this web site and CampusCruiser.
Below is an outline of the steps that you should follow in orienting yourself to the course. Being familiar with course components, assignments, and expectations is very important to your ultimate success.
Get Started
- Purchase
the textbook. You can order the textbook online at MBS
Direct Virtual Bookstore. You should order the textbook at least one
week before the class starts.
- Read
the Welcome page to get to know the instructor personally.
- Read
the Syllabus page to get an overview of course policies, expectations, grading process and basic
schedule.
- Read
the Course Orientation page to find the recommended workflow for the
course.
- Read
the FAQ page to find answers to the questions you may have.
- Get
familiar with CampusCruiser (Directions are located on the front page
of CampusCruiser.) with the following:
- log
on to CampusCruiser to make sure your login ID and password are working.
- get
familiar with CampusCruiser email because CampusCruiser email is the
official email account for this course. The instructor will send messages
to CampusCruiser email account only.
- set
up forwarding email filter to forward CampusCruiser email to your home or
office email account if you prefer.
During the Eight Weeks
- Check
CampusCruiser and this course site at least once every two days or every 48
hours.
- Check
CampusCruiser Announcements and email to learn any updates on assignments,
quizzes, and tests.
- Read
the required readings for the week.
- Complete
weekly assignments, quizzes, or tests.
- Check
grades for previous week assignments and quizzes.
- Ask
questions you have via email.
- Complete
online course evaluation at the end of the course.
