Quick Start for Multimedia Classrooms BA235, PC274, and PC278

If you teach a class in one of these multimedia classrooms, you can download and print this direction for your reference. Remember you have to get a key from Jennifer Phipps  (985-5286) to access the equipment in the cabinet. Call 985-5000 or email the Helpdesk to ask for a demonstration. How to Use SynchronEyes in the Computer Labs: PC187 & PC189

If you teach in the computer labs, PC187 and PC189, you will notice both labs now have SynchronEyes 4.0 installed. SynchronEyes is the computer lab instruction software that allows you to monitor and control your students’ computers, chat with students, prepare and deliver online quizzes, transfer files to students, and conduct class surveys.

SmartBoard Directions

Currently, there are three classrooms equipped with SmartBoard technology (BA240, PC276, and the Writing Lab). To learn how to use the SmartBoard, click here to download the directions in MS Word.

How to Use GyroMouse Presenter

GyroMouse presenter is the cordless mouse that can be used on the desk and in the air. It uses radio frequency technology so there is no need to point at the screen or the receiver. You can control your presentation from up to 60 feet away. Currently, GyroMouse is available in the multimedia classrooms BA240, PC276, GS210, GS220, and the Writing Lab.

Quick Start for NEC VT440 LCD Projector

Two portable NEC VT440 LCD projectors (1100 lumens) are available for faculty use in the classrooms. One is located in PC186A. If you want to borrow it, please make a reservation with the instructional technologist. The other is reserved for exercise science faculty use in the gym.

Equipment Available for Checkout

Laptops tablets, presentation mouse, projectors and a digital cameral are available for classroom use. If you want to borrow it, please make a reservation with the Helpdesk.
